August 2014 Archives

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of riding aboard the Bendigo Blues Tram. Here is what it was like:

The next Blues Tram is Fathers Day, Sunday 7 September.

This year's Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival will be held 6-9 November.

This podcast contains the following songs:

"Temptation"
Written and performed by Erica Hawkey

"Raven"
Written and performed by Tony J King

"Baby Please Don't Go"
Writer unknown
Performed by Tony J King

Thank you to Colin Thompson for providing the live recordings.
Last weekend, the Bendigo Writers Festival was in town and I caught up with crime writer Michael Robotham for a chat. We talk about real life inspirations, ghostwriting for a Spice Girl, and encounters with the likes of Ray Bradbury and Stephen King.

For this episode, I decided to try recording outside. In retrospect, not the best plan. Apologies for the background noise.

Michael has a website: michaelrobotham.com.

He also has a Twitter and a Facebook.

Dr Sue Gillett is a lecturer at La Trobe University Bendigo and a program coordinator for the Bendigo Writers Festival.
